cocoon memory stone

Created on my potter’s wheel, this shape reminds me of a cocoon; serene, still and also safe and strong. It is an object to look at with pleasure and a beautiful still life in your interior.

I finished this memory stone with a light relief and a natural glaze with a silk gloss and small dark specks that color beautifully with the hardwood dark base. At the top a small curve inside where something small can be stored or finds / stones from nature can get a place.

The hardwood base comes with the memory stone. I found the stones and chain myself and will stay with me.

My memory stones are for indoor use, but these one could also be placed outside and is frost resistant. They are always hollow and have a small opening at the bottom. This means you could also use the memory stone for ash storage/urn or other small memories. You can read more about my memory stones here
