Inspired by Indonesian culture and using old batik stamps I shaped the Batik plates and throwed them on my potter’s wheel. Each plate is unique in pattern and shape. The natural matte white and the more shiny glazed batik patterns do welcome every dish.
The batik plates originated from a special collection of tableware I made for the cookbook INDOROCK (the Golden Cookbook 2019) by chef Vanja van der Leeden and photographer Remko Kraaijeveld. Read more about this.
The plates are baked at a high temperature, making them strong, food- and dishwasher safe.
