Ideal for serving a delicious salad, fish, satay, gado gado, humus, etc.!
Inspired by Indonesian culture and with old batik stamps, I shaped and threw the Batik plates on my potter’s wheel. Each plate is unique and a perfect gift!
The characteristic feature of this batik plate is the red ‘sang the boeuff’ glaze with a matte stone white glaze.
The batik plates originated from a special collection of tableware that I made for the cookbook INDOROCK (the Golden Cookbook 2019) by chef Vanja van der Leeden and photographer Remko Kraaijeveld. Read more about this.
The plates are fired at a high temperature which makes them strong and food safe and can be put in the dishwasher.
Selamat makan!
